Stephen is currently finishing
the Bar Course, having previously obtained an LLB Law degree and a Master’s degree specialising in Family Law. Alongside his academic and professional training, he has several years of experience supporting individuals as a McKenzie Friend.
As the most-followed McKenzie Friend on social media in England and Wales, Stephen has built a significant online presence by making the court process easier to understand and helping individuals navigate family proceedings with greater confidence.
He provides practical, tailored support to those representing themselves in court, assisting with position statements, witness statements, court applications, correspondence, case preparation and preparation for hearings. He also attends court alongside clients, providing support throughout proceedings.
Stephen understands that navigating the family courts without legal representation can be daunting. His approach is professional, straightforward and focused on ensuring clients understand the process, know what is expected of them and are able to present their case clearly and effectively.
As a McKenzie Friend, Stephen does not act as a solicitor or barrister and does not provide reserved legal services. His role is to support litigants in person with the preparation and presentation of their case, helping them remain informed, organised and properly prepared throughout their proceedings.
